Hi All!
I hope you’re having yet another great week. As always, here’s your weekly On-Track advice, a list of tips and tricks to keep you on track with your goals in life and business.
“Create. Not for the money. Not for the fame. Not for the recognition. But for the pure joy of creating something and sharing it.” ― Ernest Barbaric
Creating something unique of your own can be a rewarding experience. When you’re painting, writing, or singing, you will get your creative juices flowing and take on new perspectives―great skills that will inevitably also spill into your life and business.
“Guard well your spare moments. They are like uncut diamonds. Discard them and their value will never be known. Improve them and they will become the brightest gems in a useful life.” ― Ralph Waldo Emerson
I like to believe that life is about spending your time well. You want to be doing things you enjoy: Work on something you’re passionate about, spend time with people you love, and give back to your community. If you currently don’t have much time for pleasure, try to carve out some free time for it. You’ll be glad you did.
“You can’t force creatives into a box. If you try, they’ll no longer be creative. And no one will want your box.” ― Ryan Lilly
A workplace where people can’t bring new ideas to the table is set for failure. Strict procedures and processes force employees into a box where they can’t express their creativity―a crucial ability for problem-solving.
If you’re currently struggling with creativity, it may be because your work is not allowing you to express your ideas. Or maybe it’s because you struggle with the things I list in this week’s article.
Until next week,
Mike van der Poel
